This was my second time at Maison Kasai and i'm definitely going to come back again. Love the vibes of this place, with the cool secret doors and great atmosphere. And it is so interactive with the grills and magician! I sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. Shout out to the amazing bartender Austin for the delicious drinks. Also great service from some of the other members of staff, like Aaron and Atheana. And all the food is spectacular! Definitely recommend checking this spot out.

I enjoyed my second time at Maison Kasai as much as my first! Last time, I had the full (delicious) teppanyaki dinner, but last night I just wanted to treat myself to a drink and some snacks. I sat at the bar and had a blast watching the very attentive and extremely talented bartender, Austin, work. He suggested the dashi martini, which might be the best martini I've had in my entire life. Austin told me he wanted to make a dirty martini with something less overpowering than olive juice. A few drops of scallion oil on the surface really push this drink over the edge. I love a classic dirty martini, but damn, this one is special.... The martini was a perfect pairing for the food at MK, which is always exceptional. I really appreciate the quality of ingredients, and particularly, vegetables, that MK works with, and that level of quality was really on display in the snacks I had at the bar: sprouting broccoli with crispy garlic and a citrus and beet salad. The combination of flavor profiles in both dishes was exciting and delicious, but really the star of both dishes was the farm fresh produce. I didn't know a single beet could taste like all that, ya know? While MK is absolutely worth the full Teppanyaki splurge, I would also recommend coming on a more casual night for a drink and some apps at the bar. Just don't forget to order the beet salad!

Located at the multi-purpose venue Level 8, Maison Kasai is the perfect date night spot! The ambiance of the entire place is dark and sultry, with the restaurant hidden behind a heavy door that the host escorts you through. The actual restaurant itself is gorgeous on the inside, with beautiful slick teppanyaki grills and a modern interior! I got the teppanyaki dinner with the USDA Prime Chateaubriand, and I opted for the squash blossom. I think the sauces made by the chef were definitely the standout part of our dinner! He had specific sauce recommendations for each of our dishes, and I opted for the soy glaze sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly, and I also loved the fried rice. I know it's pricey, but I think it was worth the splurge for the entire experience! The service was phenomenal, and we got treated to a small magic show while we were waiting. We ended up walking out on the Level 8 patio after finishing our dinner, which capped off a perfect LA night.

Behind the hidden door you'll find one of the most incredible Teppanyaki restaurants in LA. Absolutely incredible dinning experience. Only the best and most fresh ingredients. Such a fun and unique dinning experience. All their chefs are so kind talented and always put on a good show!! Highly recommend!!

Where do I even begin? The entire experience was next level. The service was impeccable and our chef was amazing! He made the entire experience so much fun. Now for the main reason we're all here.. the food!! Wow! I must say, I haven't been this impressed by a restaurant in a very long time. I crave it more and more everyday when I think about it. The onion rings and salmon were surprisingly my 2 favorite things on the menu. The onion rings had so much flavor and so crispy, I didn't wanna share them. Same with the salmon, we added this to our order last minute and I'm so glad we did. It melted in my mouth and the crispy skin was truly the best part. Pretty good creamy mashed potato and the egg fried rice was also very yummy with the side of hot sauce they serve. I also loved how crispy and flavorful the Brussels sprouts were. The chicken wasn't anything special and I didn't love the steak surprisingly. Overall, it's an amazing restaurant and experience. I can't wait to go back!

Came here with my sister for dinner on a Saturday night. The vibes and ambience of the space was truly amazing. Our waitress gave great detail about the dinner experience and the drink and dinner menu items. Gave impressive recommendations. We both ordered the TEPPANTAKI 3 course dinner that came with MISO CRÈME BRÛLÉE, SQUASH BLOSSOM (the squash was spicy) USDA PRIME CHATEAUBRIANO, TEPPANTAKI BROCCOLI, & FRIED RICE. I highly recommend it! The lemon sorbet was wayyyy too "lemony," very tart. It wasn't for me. I saw some people compare it to Benihana but tbh, it was BETTER! Definitely an upscale restaurant and worth my hard earned money. Money was well spent

Went here for my birthday celebration. Came on a Thursday around 6pm and it wasn't too packed but quickly filled up as it got later. Maison Kasai is in the Moxy Hotel and one of Level 8's concepts. Like a fancy Benihana's, but with a French twist. To get in we had to go through 2 secret doors and they even had a magician walking around, which made it a really fun experience. I'm not really wowed by magicians but I was pretty impressed! The restaurant is dimly lit and has a cool ambiance. We didn't order the 3-course meals but opted for entrees and an appetizer. We started off with the Wagyu Dumplings, which were light and delicious. Then for entrees we ordered the King Salmon and the American Wagyu New York. Salmon was cooked perfectly though we weren't fans of the morel mushrooms. The steak was so good and juicy. Almost melt in your mouth! Would definitely order it again. The Koji Cured Tempura Onion Rings were good as well, though it did come out towards the end of our meal. Wish I could have eaten it with my steak. We finished off our meal with a complimentary lemon or mango sorbet? Whatever it was, it was tart and refreshing! Special shout-out to our table chef. Wish we caught her name but she did mention she's from Kobe, Japan. Overall a good experience and would recommend for special occasions and events!

First time here on a Friday night. It's a speakeasy meets elevated Benihana on the 8th floor of the Moxy Hotel. You go through a couple secret doors and then enter a sexy warm dining room. Cute date night spot for sure. We even had ??? the magician come to our table with some pretty good card tricks after we placed ordered. Attentive service (shout out to Gabby) & good food #teppanyaki style (shout out to Adrian) . Everything we had was tasty but it's a pretty pricey place but you're paying for the location, ambiance, dinner show & magician. Valet parking is $25 for restaurants at the hotel. Now what did we eat? Peace Treaty cocktail Complimentary sake Complimentary lil something in a hand Miso crème brûlée Dumplings Crab Cake Truffle Rissoto Stuffed squash Chateaubriand Truffle lobster tail Wagyu New York steak Lemon sorbet

This place is so cute!!! If you're looking for a vibe you definitely need to stop in to this place. We got lucky and had dinner on the earlier side so we had the restaurant to ourselves. The service was definitely top tier and the food was even better. We order the hibachi and I loved the starters. The sauces they are makin are not what you typically get at hibachi and that made it even better. Cannot wait to go back to check out the rest of what's to offer!!

My recent visit to Maison Kasai was nothing short of exceptional! The service, led by the attentive and friendly duo, Erica and Ivan, was truly remarkable. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. A special shoutout to the hostess, Evan, whose warmth and efficiency stood out on a busy night. Evan went the extra mile to accommodate our party, making us feel truly valued. His attentiveness and super-friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the evening. The ambiance, coupled with the delicious food, made it the perfect choice for birthday celebration.
